Go therefore and make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:19-20)
After one truly confesses and converts to a christian, faith is completed by actions it prompts (James 15:16). Conversion leads to discipleship, the living out of God’s will. Disciples become part of God’s holy priesthood as promised by God (Ex 19:6) and are fulfilled in the church (1 Peter 2:9). The church has the responsibility to train young disciples toward maturity in Christ. (Luke 9:2, 2 Tim 3:14-17). New Hope East Hawaii’s Discipleship class is designed to equip those who need to continue their training. Discipleship is more than passive adoration of God. Course instruction will include spiritual disciplines such as bible study, prayer, develop relationships of encouragement, and to train for service according to God’s will.
Classes start every Sunday at 8:00 am at the Christian Liberty Academy classrooms located next to the women restrooms. For more information please see course facilitator Jaewin Gonsalves or Pastor Scott Shiroma.
“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)
